Remembering The Things That Are Important...

Today is one of those days...One of those days that we will all remember exactly where we were, what we were doing, and what we did until we put the day away with fitfull sleep. Like September 21st 1989 when Hugo came calling, like November 22, 1963 when President Kennedy died, and like January 28th, 1986 when the Challenger disappeared from the sky...we will always remember, and we will grieve. We will grieve for those who suffered innocently and we will grieve for our innocence...Our innocence before these days with harsh realities of suffering beyond measure. On those days, I doubt that anyone was worried about their jobs, petty differences, the price of gas, or our fave sports team's record. We only thought about how much we treasured those who are important to us and cried for the people who were lost and who lost things. The memories of grieving on those days will fade each year...hopefully the way that we felt on those days never will.
